tesa 60403 is a closed cell foam tape used as a primary seal between the glass and metal frame in commercial and domestic windows and window walls. The double sided tape has a thickness of 3.2mm, consisting of a polyvinyl chloride foam backing coated with a strong acrylic adhesive on both sides. The elastic adhesive prevents flanking, stopping the water passing between the foam and the glass or aluminium window frame. The foam tape is able to compensate irregular surfaces and acts as a shock absorber, making its bond extremely reliable, even on irregular surfaces. The double sided foam tape can withstand fungi, oxidation, UV light, ozone and temperatures up to 90C. tesa 60403 also complies with A.A.M.A.**810-85 type 1 and AS 2047 standards.
